A long time goal for Lilly was realized today with the building of Twilight. The questing, exploring, gathering, doing achievements, running world versus world has all come together in a sexy looking great sword.
One of the more distinctive legendary weapons, Twilight, became a focus for me a little over a year ago. A legendary of some type has been in the back of my mind for years, this past year seeing it all come together.
The third installment of the Living Story in Guild Wars 2 sees Lilly head to the Bitterfrost Frontier on the fringes of the Far Shiverpeaks. Brutal terrain, extremely cold, limited visibility coupled with stunning scenery that left me mouth agape on several occasions.
Out here in the extremes of the Bitterfrost we find old allies; the Quaggan (left) and the Kodan (right); both in dire need of our expert assistance.
Svanir structures off in the distance.
The storm is raging, and this is day time. Coming out at night is not for the timid.
Night time, winds pickup and the storm reaches fever pitch.
Lilly feels incredibly small and insignificant, with the mountains as a back drop.
Lillys’ new lil’ pet dragon, and green too; though the harsh lighting does it no justice.
On several occasions I would see people talking in map chat as to why anyone would be so crazy to bring a mesmer out to the Bitterfrost. Its simple really. Mesmers rock 🙂
I’ve only one more achievement standing between Lilly and her coveted Ice Gauntlets. I can hardy wait.
Sometimes I wonder how Lilly doesn’t freeze, considering her taste in fashion. I need to find her a nice thick warm coat to where.
With changing lifestyle, growing family and the demands of day-to-day life; finding some personal time to relax becomes harder. One of the pass times I still engage in, albeit less now than before, is playing Guild Wars 2 aka GW2. This is an MMORPG, Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. GW2 is definitely massive. Even today I’m still finding places in the world, Tyria, that take my breath away. What follows is a small showcase of Tyria.
Thriving cities for the various playable races in GW2. This is Divinity’s Reach, home of the humans.
Amazing forests in Ascalon.
Foreboding dense jungle in Tangled Depths.
The frozen landscape of the Shiverpeaks – Snowden Drifts
The mountains of Lornas Pass
Beautiful and peaceful coastal regions
Regions ravaged by evil
Even adventures under the sea.
Choking sandstorms in Dry Top.
Dangerous volcanic regions in The Circle of Fire – Ember Bay.
Subterranean regions where magic converges
Terrifying foes – Let there be Dragons – Tequatl
World level events involving hundreds of players – Victory over Scarlets’ Marionette.
Most of these screen shots courtesy of my character Lilly Ravenleaf, my Mesmer. Both beautiful and deadly. She’s my go to girl for my adventures in Guild Wars 2. If you see her in game, say g’day.
