It was a warm night, uncomfortably warm, at nearly 30 degrees celcius. Sleep was restless.
I woke up tired, not a great start to the day. Standing at the train station, the dark of night still envelops everything. The only beacons, the lights on the road and rail platform.
I can feel sweat trickling down my back, the cool morning breeze a welcome repreeve from the heat. The occasional bird tweets in the distance, the crickets are singing. They too know today will be hot and revel in this amazing time of day, on the cusp of day yet night ever present.
When you stop and let all your senses tune in to your surrounds…. a truly remarkable world we live in.
